Socket Bayonet for the Navy M/1843 percussion rifle
The M/1843 percussion rifle was produced at the Norwegian weapon factory Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk. This factory was one of the first to start producing a rifle originally designed as a percussion rifle. Many weapon factories was occupied converting flint lock muskets to percussion lock.
The musket got produced for the Navy and was delivered with the socket bayonet M/1843. There were probably produced less than 900 M/1843 bayonets.
The bayonet is marked with the crowned K (for Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk)
