Socket Bayonet for M/1856 Minié Rifle
The Swedish M/1856 socket bayonet is almost identical to the Belgian produced M/1855 bayonet. The bayonet fits both the Belgian (Malherbe) produced percussion rifle M/1855 and the Swedish (Husqvarna) produced percussion rifle M/1856.
While the M/1855 bayonet got produced in Belgia, the M/1856 bayonet got produced by Husqvarna in Sweden. 2,000 M/1856 bayonets was produced.
